The 110212 is the canonical black tube: 3.7 ounces of the abrasion-eating formula tinted for dark rubber. It is the version repair shops reach for when work boots and skate shoes come in with soles ground down on one side.

The 110212 standard

Ask a cobbler or a skate-shop counter for black goo and this part number is what lands on the bench. It has been the reference black tube long enough that people order it from memory.

Built for abrasion

Black soles live hard lives — pavement, griptape, gravel, pedals. The cured formula is deliberately abrasion-resistant, which is why a rebuilt heel edge lasts months rather than weeks.

Work-boot duty

Steel-toe boots rarely die at the steel; they die where sole meets welt. A black bead worked into that junction and smoothed flat both re-seals and reinforces the exact line where boots leak and split first.

Layering thick repairs

Deep wear rebuilds best in stages: a layer, an overnight set, another layer. Three patient evenings put five millimeters of new rubber on a heel — and the tube still has most of its life left.
